Microsoft Word basics for the Macintosh

1. Open Microsoft Word (from the Apple menu  Applications  Microsoft Word)



2. IF the Project Gallery appears, click OK.



3. A new untitled file will appear (it could be 1, 2, 3, etc.).

 

4. To save the new untitled file onto the desktop, your floppy disk, or flash memory, go to the File menu and drag down to Save.

5. In the window that appears, select デスクトップ (desktop) or double click on your floppy disk or flash memory.

6. Your floppy disk's name should appear here.

7. Be sure you are in English mode not Japanese (kotoeri).





8. Select untitled1 and write the name of your file.



9. Then click "save."

10. The new name of your file will appear in the title bar.

11. While you are working, remember to save often!

12. When you are finished, go to the file menu and quit Microsoft Word.

13. Always remember to shut down your computer before you leave.
